Plot[]
Prologue[]
One day, George and Harold were running over ketchup packets with their skateboards on the gym floor. It was all fun and games until their principal Mr. Krupp came in and yelled at them and tells them to clean up the floor and meet him in his office, So George and Harold cleaned up the gym floor up with a garden hose and went to Mr. Krupp's office.
Mr. Krupp was furious with the boys and punished them. Since the boys never learned anything from writing sentences repeatedly, he assigned them to write a 100-page essay on good citizenship, warning them not to turn in a 100-page Captain Underpants comic book as their essay, much to George and Harold's dismay. But after they left Mr. Krupp's office, they realized they could make a comic about a new superhero instead. So they created a superhero comic called "Super Diaper Baby". The next day, they presented their 100 page essay to Mr. Krupp, which angered him, and he sent George and Harold to detention to write on the blackboard.
Chapter 1: A Hero is Born[]
Deputy Dangerous and Danger Dog planned to gain superpowers by draining them out of Captain Underpants, using the Deputy's "Super Power Taker-Awayer Ray 2000". Their plan was successful, and Captain Underpants' powers were turned into juice. Danger Dog drank some of the juice, and just when Dangerous was about to drink some, the police arrived, and the two villains fled the scene.

Meanwhile, Mary Hoskins gave birth to a boy and the doctor prepared to give him the "spank of life", as it was a tradition according to the doctor. But then the doctor spanked the baby too hard, and he fell out of the window, landing in the bucket of super power juice. The baby drank the juice, causing him to gain super powers. Dangerous, enraged, demanded that the baby "give him the juice back", but the baby instead beat Dangerous up. Then a nurse appeared and gave the baby a diaper. Then the baby flew back up to the ward where he was born. The doctor tried to apologize for the accident he caused, but Billy then went and spanked him a lot to make the accident forgiven. After seeing this, Bill Hoskins decided to name their son Billy, as "he was tough like him". Then the family went home, and Deputy Dangerous and Danger Dog were arrested.
Chapter 2: The Evil Plan[]
The duo was placed in jail, but they escaped due to Danger Dog's super powers, and headed to their secret lab. Deputy Dangerous wasn't giving up on his plan to get super powers just yet. He invented the "Danger Crib 2000", a crib that could zap super powers from babies and transport them to the user via satellite. They sent it to the Hoskins family under the pseudonyms "Deputy Un-Dangerous" and "Safety Dog". That night, Deputy Dangerous prepared to take the super powers from Super Diaper Baby. But then, Billy suddenly poops in his diaper one minute before the transmitting time, which was midnight. Mary came and took Billy out of the crib just in time, so she could bathe him, which caused the poop to be transported over to Deputy Dangerous, turning him into a piece of poop.
Deputy Dangerous was shocked by his new form and name and went down to the city to think of an idea. Eventually he got an idea, but was stepped on by a passing man. He was then scraped off the man's shoe and thrown into a trash bin. Dangerous climbed out of the trash bin and vowed to get revenge.
Chapter 3: Dial "R" for Revenge[]
On the way back to the lab, Danger Dog told some poop jokes that provoked Dangerous so much that he ragefully screamed at Danger Dog.
The next morning, Deputy Dangerous invented the "Robo-Ant 2000" so that he could take over the world. He then asked Danger Dog what he thought about the new robot, but instead Danger Dog asked Dangerous if he could call "Deputy Doo Doo" from then on. This angered Deputy Dangerous, and he told Danger Dog he wouldn't think he was so funny after he destroyed the world. Then he unleashed his robot to wreak havoc around the city. Danger Dog wasn't helping Dangerous though, he was just goofing off by switching signs around and taking out parts of it. Meanwhile at Billy's house, he heard about the robot from his parents talking, and decided to stop it, since he thought it was an actual bug. Billy tried to fight the robot, but despite his best efforts, Billy was defeated by Dangerous. Dangerous took Billy to the nuclear Power Plant to kill him with the radiation. But Danger Dog saved Billy, while Dangerous' robot lost its balance and fell into the power plant instead.
Chapter 4: Hooray for Diaper Dog[]
Danger Dog then took Billy home. Bill and Mary considered keeping him as a pet, but their landlord objected, saying that he could pee on the carpet. Bill and Mary then suggested he could wear a diaper, and this caused the landlord to change his mind. Danger Dog then changed his name to Diaper Dog, and became part of the family.
Meanwhile, back at the power plant, the radioactivity from the reactor caused Deputy Doo-Doo to grow into a giant, causing him to break out of the reactor and resume his rampage through the city. Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog flew out to stop him, but Diaper Dog noted that they should not touch the now-radioactive Deputy Doo-Doo as they could get mutated from the radiation. Instead, they tricked him into attacking himself, and they eventually wrapped him up using a giant toilet paper roll they took from the top of a building, and disposed of him on the planet Uranus.
Chapter 5: Happily Ever After[]
On the way back to Earth, they stopped by a Starbutts on Mars, where they discovered that the store offers super power juice. They decide to take some back to Earth, and they went to the laundromat in which Captain Underpants was still stuck. They restored all his powers, and all was well with the world.
Billy and Diaper Dog then returned home to their parents, where they all shared a group hug.
Trivia[]
- Despite how Dog Man is not even mentioned, this book is technically the first ever book in the Dog Man series since its sequel, Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers, includes Petey, one of the main characters of the current Dog Man series. Therefore, this book is a part of the Dog Man series as well.
