Ms. Pierce is the manager of Happy Home Shelter, which is located in Bedford Falls. Even though the resources are in low quantity, she tries to do her best. She appears in The Scarlet Shedder, when Grace and Petey move to Happy Home Shelter. She later appears in Big Jim Begins when Little Jim visits his parents' grave.

Mrs. Pierce goes with Little Jim to visit Little Jim's parents' graveyard, then she takes him to her Happy Home Shelter place where kindness rules. There wasn't any rooms left so she gave a special place for Little Jim to live in which was her office. After Little Jim asked Mrs. Pierce if she was a helper, Mrs. Pierce told Little Jim that she is a helper and gives him a hug.
