Melvin's Magazine, also known as T.I.M.E. Magazine ("This Is Melvin's Excellent Magazine"), is a magazine created by Melvin that appears in Cat Kid Comic Club: Influencers. According to the front page, it contains comics, jokes, and puzzles. Whist only the magazine's front was in the book itself, the "notes" section of the book states that the complete, 16-page version of the magazine will be uploaded to the Planet Pilkey website on January 29th, 2024, replacing Wally's World. This magazine is removed on the website on May 30, 2024, following the announcement of Dog Man: Big Jim Begins and in preparation of Power Up! Magazine.

The physical version of the magazine is also an exclusive giveaway for Independent Bookstores in the US, Canada and United Kingdom on its release week, and for selected bookstores in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia until stocks last. As of mid-November 2024, some certain American bookstores still give out copies for free.

The T.I.M.E. magazine’s cover resembles a buff version of Melvin lifting a weight with text that says "All Melvin, All the Time". On the right of the magazine cover are explosions with words in them, saying ‘comics’, ‘jokes’, and ‘puzzles’, a reference to Dog Man and Captain Underpants books.

Contents[]

In his opening letter, Dav Pilkey says that this comic is the full version of T.I.M.E. Magazine which Melvin created in Cat Kid Comic Club: Influencers. Melvin doesn't allow to show his comic in private in the story, but readers will hopefully use this as a basis on making comic stories, jokes and puzzles included in this magazine.

  • Otto's Auto Biography - a mini comic about a car named Otto.
  • How Frogs Talk Around the World - frog onomatopoeia in different languages.
  • Gross But True! - Informational graphic about Darwin's Frogs and the tadpoles.
  • Dear Melvin - an advice column.
  • Melvin's Word Search - includes word search and a crossword.
  • Melvin's Frog Jokes & More Frog Jokes! - collection of frog-themed jokes.
  • More Puzzles - includes a spot-the-difference game and a maze.

The last part of the magazine tells the reader to make their own magazine and tells one last frog joke. It also has answers from word search and puzzles.

Notes[]

  • The "Dear Melvin" column has two presumably fake questions and two that are just Naomi making fun of Melvin.
