When Little Jim was young, his parents died from a car crash. After hearing the news about his parents passing away, Mrs. Pierce bought him to Happy Home Shelter and he became a helper.
Later, Petey lived with his mother there when he was younger after his Dad left. They lived here without food and money while making friends with Little Jim.
In Cat Kid Comic Club: Collaborations, Flippy mentions that there's a shelter that needs foods, beds, toys and books to the people staying here. Li'l Petey, Molly, and the students of Cat Kid Comic Club (except Naomi and Melvin) donated their profits to Happy Home Shelter.
