–Greg the Dog and Officer Knight, Dog Man (film) | ||
Greg the Dog is one of the three overarching protagonists (alongside Officer Knight and Petey's Mother) in the Dog Man book series. He was a dog who belonged to Officer Knight. They got in trouble a lot (mainly sitting on Chief's new couch). One day, Greg and Knight went outside and found a bomb set by Petey, one of the main villains. Knight asked Greg which wire he should cut, to which Greg replied with: "Grrr!" Having forgotten that dogs are colorblind, Officer Knight cut the green wire, which caused the bomb to explode.
The two were taken to the hospital where the doctor came in with news: Knight's head was dying and Greg's body was dying. Genie S. Lady had an idea: sewing Greg's head onto Knight's body, and from then on Greg the Dog was known as Dog Man.
