Welcome to the Dog Man Wiki, an unofficial informational site for all things Dog Man and Cat Kid Comic Club. This is a kid-friendly site, so make sure you have to read the policies below before adding/editing pages/categories or posting/commenting:
What is Dog Man Wiki?
Dog Man Wiki is a wiki website dedicated to the Dog Man and Cat Kid Comic Club book series by Dav Pilkey. It is founded by Tntcreepers on September 18, 2016 and gains more members to add and edit articles related to the series.
General
- Be sure to read the Fandom's Terms of Use (ToU) first.
- Don't make bad edits or comments, or you'll be probated for a whole month. (e.g. John has gotten into a heated argument, and he decides to say the F-word. John cannot do this, because swears can only be censored.)
- DON'T VANDALIZE. This is a big problem on the wiki. You could get blocked. (e.g. Jeff goes on the wiki, and decides to blank the page. Jeff cannot do this because a page has to have something on it.)
- Image names don't matter, as long as they aren't offensive or explicit. (e.g. Jake adds a picture of his favourite album as his profile picture, but it has a swear. Jake cannot do this because the image has a swear in it.)
- The Dog Man Wiki does not allow sensitive content on images or videos that might be not suitable to children and with special needs (e.g. blood, suicide, emotional mental health that are negative).
- False information is not allowed here, as long as you need to provide a working link for proof. If you're posting new details on upcoming book or related to Pilkey content, please include an original link for reference/source.
- When you make a how-to or activity, post it in discussions or on your blog.
- No fan art or fan fiction on the main space (articles). Fan art and fan fiction will either be moved to Dog Man Fanon Wiki, a blog post, discussions, or your profile page.
- Only administrators may probate and warn users. If you feel like a user is causing trouble, contact the admins.
Membership
- You have to be 13 years old and above to sign up to Fandom and Dog Man Wiki. However, different locations has their own consent that you must also be 16-18 years old depending on where you live to join. Please visit the membership section of Fandom's Terms of Use page for more information.
- Children ages 12 years old and below are not allowed to join Dog Man Wiki as per their Fandom rules.
- Inappropriate usernames will be blocked automatically.
- We don't allow to have multiple accounts in this wiki due to Sockpuppeting. Please see Posting/Commenting section for more details.
- For those accounts who are requesting to move to a new account, please contact the admins.
Adding/Editing Pages or Categories
- Make sure you make productive edits.
- Don't create duplicates of other pages or media such as images or videos, as it confuses people. Search the page or Upload Log first to see if it's exist before creating or uploading.
- Don't create pages about yourself. If you want to write about yourself, you can write it on your profile page.
- Make pages related to Dog Man and other Pilkey creations.
- Don’t create irrelevant, useless, or redundant categories, like “Animal” in addition to “Animals”. Also no color categories. Just because a character is Orange, don't make a category named "Orange".
- Make sure category names are spelled well and have good grammar, as categories with poor grammar are a big problem on the wiki.
Posting/Commenting
- Don't put hurtful comments anywhere. Heavy cursing/swearing and slurs aren't permitted.
- However, light swears are allowed.
- SOCKPUPPETING IS NOT ALLOWED. Sockpuppeting is when you make multiple accounts to evade a probation.
- Don't give away personal information (such as your real full name, address, etc.) for safety reasons.
- Don't be homophobic, and don't discriminate against LGBTQIA+ people, people of color (POC), disabled people, religion, etc.
- Political or Religious discussions are not allowed.
Warnings
You will receive an offense or a block if you don't follow the rules on this wiki.
- First Offense - Your first warning will be notified by an admin, including your reason.
- Second Offense - You will be blocked for a limited time within 3 days or one week.
- Third Offense - You will be blocked for a limited time within 2 weeks or 1-3 months depending on what you break, or will be given an Automatic Block as stated from the admin's decision.
- Automatic Block - You will be blocked infinitely. This includes continuous vandalism, false information, & violent content, hate speech, inappropriate username, and sockpuppet/alt accounts.
- Underage Block - This is only acceptable for underage accounts when they first joined the wiki at its below age or depending from the age consent in your location. You will be unblocked once you're in a legal age.
Tips
- When uploading images, renaming image names are optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have a proper file name.
- Please give credits to the owner if required for images/videos/media.
Rules for Administration
- You must give a valid and clear reason to block somebody. Please don't put any unrelated reasons why you blocked the user.
- Do your best to set a good example for other admins and users on this wiki.
