The Cops is a police department led by Chief Clarence Bailey that keeps the city safe from danger. Their headquarters are located in Ohkay city.
Description[]
It is previously taken over and turned evil by Mayor and Robo Chief in Dog Man. In Dog Man: Grime and Punishment, the mayor caused all the cops (excluding the Mean Officers) to cry after Dog Man was fired. The next day, Dog Man returns to the police station, disguised as Cat Man and is hired immediately by the mayor.

- Officer Knight/Greg the Dog - formerly part of the cops but they exploded from a bomb, leading to a surgery to combine Dog Man. In Dog Man: Big Jim Begins, Greg the Puppy's ambition is to become a police dog.
- Cat Man - Dog Man's disguise in Dog Man: Grime and Punishment. He's hired immediately by the mayor.
Trivia[]
- In Dog Man and Cat Kid, the cops were shown doing very idiotic things, such as cutting each other's heads in half and reading books upside down. Real officers would not be allowed to do such things.
- It has been shown that all the officers in C.O.P.S are dummies in the same book. However, Dog Man is the only one who isn't a dummy, despite his behavior. This is due to Officer Knight's kung-fu skills and Greg the Dog's intelligence being combined together to form the creation of Dog Man.
- In Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea, The Friendly Friends initiated a riot, getting the protest out of hand however riot control failed to be called as Chief was on a date with Genie S. Lady-Bailey and Milly is off duty. It's possible other officers are off duty.
